Privacy policy
ExoSelect collects the minimum data needed to answer a selection brief, operate the index and understand which dossiers are useful. We do not sell inquiry data or build advertising profiles.
What we collect
When you submit a selection brief, we collect your name, company, work email, country, the system you are interested in and the text of your request. Server logs may also record the request time and a truncated IP address for security and abuse prevention.
When you browse the site, we use privacy-respecting analytics to understand page views and aggregate traffic sources. We do not use cross-site advertising cookies.
Why we use it
Inquiry data is used to respond to your request, prepare a shortlist and, where you ask us to, introduce you to relevant manufacturers. Aggregate analytics help us prioritise dossier updates and identify broken or thin pages.
Legal basis
Where the GDPR applies, we process inquiry data on the basis of your request for a service and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. You can object to processing at any time by contacting us.
How long we keep it
Inquiry records are retained for 24 months from the last contact, unless a longer period is required for an active commercial relationship or legal obligation. Aggregate analytics are retained for 14 months.
Who we share it with
We share a brief with a manufacturer only when you ask for an introduction. We use infrastructure and email providers that process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards. We do not sell personal data.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and you may object to processing. Contact legal@exoselect.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
